The Coordinator will assess the need for, and coordinate the delivery of, support services in the classroom for Deaf and hard of hearing students. These services may include but are not limited to sign language interpreting, note-taking and/or real-time captioning.

Job Duties:

* Coordinate the provision of support services for Deaf and hard of hearing students, parents, and guests of the University, at university-wide events and programs, working with University departments as they request assistance with accommodating persons who are Deaf and hard of hearing.

Reporting to the Provost, with close ties to Student Affairs, the Director oversees operations of the Academic Resources Center including New Student Orientation Program, the First Year Program, advising, academic tutoring and student case management. The Director works closely with the Enrollment Management Team in retention efforts. This one-person office has important working relationships with career services and other campus offices. Key responsibilities include program and budget management and working with students with disabilities and serving as an advisor for some students.
