Director - Academic Resource CenterDaniel Webster College Daniel Webster College invites applications for Director of Academic Resources. Reporting to the Provost, with close ties to Student Affairs, the Director oversees operations of the Academic Resources Center including New Student Orientation Program, the First Year Program, advising, academic tutoring and student case management. The Director works closely with the Enrollment Management Team in retention efforts. This one-person office has important working relationships with career services and other campus offices. Key responsibilities include program and budget management and working with students with disabilities and serving as an advisor for some students. Qualifications: Masters degree or higher and a minimum of two years experience in a relevant field. Experience with academic advising, retention and FYE highly desirable. The candidate must be familiar with ADA and 504 compliance. Competencies in application of student learning and development theory, staff training and supervision, student outcomes assessment, team development and testing is desirable. Daniel Webster College enrolls approximately 600 day students in addition to an active evening program of 600 students. The College is a private, coeducational, nonprofit institution offering professional education in the fields of aviation, business and management, computer science, information systems, social sciences and engineering. Situated on 50 wooded acres in New Hampshire's second largest city, Nashua (voted America's most livable city twice in the last decade), the College is an hour drive from the Ocean and the White Mountains, and 45 minutes north of Boston. Welcome to the NEW Home of DAIS!Disability Access Information and Support (DAIS) is an important resource to the higher education community, providing a menu of services for those concerned with disability and access in higher education. Institutions and organizations can contract for help from DAIS, in the person of Jane Jarrow, Ph.D., for a variety of services. The growing list of DAIS publications and activities includes resource materials to assist in interpreting/fulfilling legal mandates, a variety of professional development opportunities, policy/procedure reviews, consultation regarding quality assurance and compliance, and information to aid in understanding the philosophical underpinnings of providing quality service to people with disabilities in the postsecondary environment.
