There are other definitions of the word "academy," but those above seem to serve well for this purpose! Welcome to the DAIS Academy. You have just entered the home of a learning community focused on the professional development of those involved in issues of disability in higher education. This is the place to come when you want to explore the resources available through DAIS to better help you in fulfilling your institutional responsibilities -- and your own professional development goals. Combining the use of readily-available technology with the acknowledged expertise of the DAIS faculty, professional development opportunities transcend distance, time, and travel. The chance to learn and to grow is as close, and as immediate, as reaching for your keyboard.
