Facilitates academic accommodations for students with disabilities; actively orients students with disabilities to the University; disseminates information regarding disability services to faculty and staff; assists with research and review of disability standards and policies and procedures as well as results interpretation of satisfaction surveys; participates in various department and division activities; and stays abreast of current developments in the field of disability services. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Special Education, or related field plus experience working with students or college-bound students required. Student experience will be considered. Working knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 is preferred. Experience with academic planning, career development and in providing reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities and interaction with faculty in the postsecondary setting is also preferred. This position is an academic year plus 15 days of scheduled service appointment. Application materials received by July 9, 2007 will be given first consideration.
